COMMISSION TO INQUIRE INTO CHILD ABUSE
The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse is inquiring into a clinical trial of a 4-in-1 vaccine that took place in 1960/61 in the following mother and baby homes:
St. Patricks, Navan Road St. Clare’s, Stamullan St. Peter’s, Castlepollard The Dunboyne Mother and Baby Home The Bessboro Mother and Baby Home 10 children in the Mount Carmel Industrial School, Moate were also involved in the trial
The Vaccine Trials Division of the Commission invites any mother of a child who was born in or admitted into any of the mother and baby homes listed above in 1959, 1960, or 1961, or any person who, as a child, was resident in any of the said homes or the above industrial school in 1960/61 to contact the Commission. The Division will preserve the anonymity of any mother or participant in the trial who contacts it.
