Step One

Send in a request form to the Commission to meet one of its two committees. Forms are sent out by us on request.

Step Two

Choose between the Confidential and the Investigation Committee.

Confidential Committee

Your story will be heard in a
sympathetic way and your evidence will not be challenged.

Hearings began in September 2000.

Invesigation Committee

The Committee will investigate your evidence. The institution or the alleged abusers will have the right to challenge your story. Hearings begin following a preliminary inquiry.

The Committee can compel persons accused to attend and to produce any document it needs to see.
