The Investigation Committee of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse, proposes to hold a public hearing, on Wednesday 29 November, 2006, in relation to production, by the Christian Brothers, of documents referred to in "Phase III" of the Investigation Comittee's hearings. However, this date/time is subject to last minute change - I will let you know as soon as I hear of any such change.
The venue for the hearing is the Mezzanine Suite, Herbert Park Hotel, Embassy House, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The hearing will commence at 10am and further details of the location can be obtained at www.herbertparkhotel.ie/location.
Brother Seamus Nolan of the Christian Brothers has been called to give evidence at the hearing.
Transcripts from the hearing will be posted to the Commission's website, as soon as available.

The Investigation Committee of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse currently proposes to hold a public hearing in relation to the following schools:
St. Joseph's Industrial School, Dundalk
St. Joseph's Industrial School, Clifden
St. Joseph's Industrial School, Tralee
on Tuesday 10 January, 2006. However, this date/time is subject to last minute change
The hearing will commence at 1000am on the 10th Jan in the Alexander Hotel, Dublin 2 (beside the Davenport Hotel) with different start times scheduled for different schhols.
The Sisters of Mercy, who are management respondents in relation to the Dundalk and Clifden schools and the Christian Brothers, who are management respondents in relation to the Tralee school, will give general background information in relation to the schools.
Transcripts from the public hearing will be posted to the Commission's website as soon as available.
Following the public hearing, the committee currently proposes to move into private session in respect of these schools from Thursday 12 January , in the Commission's offices in St. Stephen's Green House. No transcripts of the private hearings will be made available.
